Fine line in Andenne
Lines drawn in a single breath, fine as a pen stroke, for precise, understated pieces that live well with the skin.
Fine line is tattooed with a fine needle and a slow hand. Little shading, no heavy fill: the drawing rests entirely on the accuracy of the line. This is the style for botanical pieces, moths, delicate lettering and symbols worn close to the body.
Its reputation for fragility comes from pieces that were badly done. A line set at the right depth, on a suitable area, softens over the years without fading away. That is exactly what the gallery will show: healed work, dated, not just fresh from the chair.
fine line pieces
Fresh and healed, side by side. The gallery of pieces is coming soon.
fine line is for you if
- You care about detail. Precise symbols, botanicals, lettering: the fine line serves the delicacy of the design.
- You want an understated piece that wears just as well on show as hidden away.
- It's your first tattoo: shorter sessions, manageable pain, straightforward healing.
- You like black. No colour here: skin and ink are enough.
What Sophie will tell you at your consultation
- The lines soften over the years: it is planned into the drawing, never a surprise.
- Fingers, palms and soles hold a fine line poorly: Sophie will suggest another area or another style instead.
- A very small, very detailed design eventually closes up: the minimum size is decided together.
- A touch-up can help once healing is complete; it is scheduled at the session.
