Dark ornamental dresses the body. Rosettes, garlands, mandalas and dotwork that answer each other on either side of an axis, placed to underline a shoulder, a nape, a spine. It is a style of symmetry and patience, where every dot counts.
The ornamental design is drawn on the person before it is tattooed: Sophie traces her axes on the skin, fits the symmetry to the body, then lays the line and the dot without rushing. A well-judged ornament gives the impression of a tattooed jewel, cut for you alone.
